Fishing report for 04/29/2026
This is the fishing report for 04/29/2026. Some good updates and things to be excited for,
There still has been a decent amount of tog around. Boats have been doing well on the wrecks and reefs, deeper areas of the bridges as well with green crab finally starting to work. Clams have been by far the best with all the reports. Pier wise it has been decent just have to work a little. Tog season will be closed after tomorrow (04/30/2026) until August 1st.
White perch and bass are still heavy in the rivers, bloods, clams & bunker for bait. Plastics especially in the mouths of the creeks. Bridges and piers have had bait action during the day same as above. Lures have been more nighttime around the bridges, inlets & piers. Paddletails and hard baits like SP minnows and Mag Darters. Starting to receive some decent surf reports. Mostly on clam from the surf but down around the jetties its more on lures.
We are gearing up for the kickoff of the 2026 Fluke season. Season opens up Monday May 4th. That being said there is already a ton of reports coming in. Lots of big fish in the back while people are targeting bass. Surf side they are already showing up so it looks promising.
Thanks to Jack Davidson for bringing in the first bluefish of the year today. Weighing in just over 10lbs and 35 1/4 inches. Good sign of things to come!
