Minnows are small live baitfish—such as mud minnows, killifish, or mummichogs—commonly used for inshore and coastal fishing. They closely mimic natural prey and are highly effective for species like flounder, striped bass, bluefish, and weakfish. Minnows can be fished live on bottom rigs, Carolina rigs, or under a float, making them a versatile and reliable bait choice.
