Mackerel are fast‑swimming, aggressive schooling fish found in coastal and offshore waters. They have sleek, torpedo‑shaped bodies with iridescent blue‑green backs and silvery sides, often marked with dark stripes or spots.  They’re commonly used as fresh cut bait for larger predatory FISH.
