Fishing report for 9/26/25

Well as the trend goes, September gets a little crappy every year. With all the wind and rain this month there hasn't been many good weather fishing days. Also with fluke closing as of yesterday we now wait for seabass.
Surf has been kicked most days but when fishable has been great. Kings and spot are still the constant it seems, bloods and fishbites are the bait of choice. Blues have been all over the surf up to about 17 inches on mullet. No real talk about much else aside from a brown shark or 2.
Inlets have been filled with blues again on mullet. Every bridge and pier is still holding a great amount of sheepshead and tog on fleas and greencrabs. Striper have been predominantly at night around the bridges and piers on soft plastics, Eels and spot have been getting the bigger bass. Perch are still hitting up the river on bloods and shrimp with a decent bit of spot mixed in.
Thanks to Capt. Frank of Brynnie-B Charters for allowing me to steal a pic from his report of the blues him and John were catching over the weekend!
