First report of the 2026 season!

We are finally back open for the 2026 season! We kicked things off last week and are back to a full time schedule. Also we actually have some things to report so here we go.
The reports are coming in quite decently from the rivers. Basically until the frigid water temps become a little more consistent that's basically where the action will be. White perch is the absolute best thing going. Lots of reports of perch on bloods, shrimp (yes pieces of store bought shrimp work incredibly well & small pieces of clam. Work deeper wholes in any river especially at the mouths of the creeks on an outgoing tide and you should find fish. Some of the best quality sized perch we have seen in recent years. Striper is beginning. Same style of fishing deeper is better in the boats. Mouths of the river are producing as well on the outgoing, both using bloods and clam. Heard a few bass caught on plastics in the 20-30ft range on the bottom.
We went out this past Sunday (3 of us fishing). We found them and absolutely hammered them for almost 2 hours. All in all we caught about 130 fish and came home with a little over 120. Using bloods and shrimp mostly with some caught on clam towards the end of the school. Thanks to Mike G. and Will N. for an incredible day!
